With our 60th anniversary year well underway we are pleased to launch our anniversary web page which will become the online home for our celebration.

Today also marks the launch of our special “60 on 60” video series where our employees – past and present – tell the sixty-year story of Agnico Eagle in short sixty-second videos that celebrate our culture and provide a historical perspective on our remarkable journey!

This is your opportunity to meet some of the men and women of Agnico Eagle who have helped us succeed and build a great company.

In today’s three videos you’ll meet Bill Montgomery a resident of Cobalt, Ontario who was with Agnico when it all began and Jack Brooks, whose remarkable discovery of a gold vein at our LaRonde mine rocked the company’s history.

You’ll also meet Virginia de la Cruz who worked alongside our founder, Paul Penna, and shares her memories of the man whose passion took us from our humble roots as a struggling silver producer to one of the largest gold companies in the world.
